access point | It is the intersection of the IP address and the provider that discovered the IP address. It |
| is displayed on the screens for discovery. A provider is software that is used to gather |
| information about an element. |
active zone set | An active zone set is the zone set in use. You can have only one zone set active at a |
| time; however, you can have a zone in more than one zone set. Zones sets are usually |
| created for a particular task. |
| Zones work by exclusion. Members of a zone can communicate with other members in |
| the zone. If two devices are not within the same zone, they cannot communicate. Only |
| elements in active zones can communicate with each other. When a zone is not active, |
| it does not have any effect. |
