Accessing a Network Through Wi-Fi in Basic Mode

Procedure Screen

(1)On the Phone Settings screen, tap Network to display the Network screen.

(2)Tap the Network type drop-down list, and then tap Wi-Fi.

(3)Tap Set, and then the Access mode drop-down list to select an access mode (generally DHCP).

(4)Tap Save to save the setting for the access mode and exit.

(5)If you want to set a WEP key for the access point, you need to tap Advanced, and then Set WEP Key, to set the WEP key.

(6)Notes:

If you know the access point, tap Add AP to enter the parameters of the access point of the Wi-Fi manually, and then tap Connect.

(7)Tap Scan to scan the accessable access point.

(8)Select a access point and tap Connect. Input the password if needed.

(9)Tap Save to save the network settings and exit.

(10)To enable the new settings to take effect, select Yes in the displayed dialog box.
