Step 4 Enter the new PIN again for confirmation, and then press OK to save the setting and exit.

Performing Auto Answer

With this function, you can answer a call by picking the handset from the base unit without pressing any key.

To enable the auto answer function, do as follows:

Step 1 On the screen for basic setting of the handset, press the up or down navigation key to select Auto answer, and then select Select.

Step 2 Press the up or down navigation key to select ON to enable the function or OFF to disable the function. Then select Select.

Setting the Dialing Mode

For PSTN calls, in order to provide compatibility with other telephone systems, your handset can be set to either tone dialing or pulsing dialing.

To set the dialing mode, do as follows:

Step 1 In standby mode, press MENU to display the main menu.

Step 2 Press repeatedly to select the Base icon, and then select Select. Step 3 Enter the current base unit PIN (preset to 1590), and then press OK.

Step 4 Press the up or down navigation key to select Dialling mode, and then select Select.

Step 5 Press the left or right navigation key to select DTMF (tone dialing) or PULSE (pulsing dialing), and then select Save to save the setting.

Restoring Default Settings

If you restore default settings, you will lose all the data (for example, numbers and names in the phonebook and call records in the call log) and the parameters previously set by you will be restored to their default values. Therefore, you are recommended to back up important data before restoring default settings.

You can restore default settings of the base unit and any of the handsets.

Restoring Default Settings of the Handset

To restore default settings of the handset, do as follows:

Step 1 In standby mode, press MENU to display the main menu.
