Utilización en invierno

Al usar la máquina en clima frío o con nieve pueden producirse perturbaciones del funcionamiento, a causa dev:

Temperatura muy baja del motor.

Formación de hielo en el filtro de aire y congelación del carburador.

Por consiguente, suelen requerirse medidas especiales como:

Reducción parcial de la toma de aire del mecanismo de arranque, con el aumento consiguiente de la temperatura del motor.

Temperaturas de 0°C o más frías:

La tapa del cilindro está preparada para adaptarla al funcionamiento en climas fríos. Gire la tapa de invierno para que el aire caliente proveniente del cilindro pueda entrar al compartimiento del carburador, evitando la obturación con hielo del filtro de aire, por ejemplo.

Temperaturas de -5°C (23°F) o inferiores:

Para utilizar la máquina en climas fríos o con polvillo de nieve, hay una cubierta especial que se coloca sobre el cuerpo del mecanismo de arranque. Se reduce así la entrada de aire frío y se impide la aspiración de grandes cantidades de nieve.

¡NOTA! Si se ha montado el conjunto especial de invierno o si se han tomado medidas para aumentar la temperatura, debe cambiarse al reglaje normal, puesto que la máquina funciona con temperatura normal. De lo contrario, hay riesgo de sobrecalentemiento con las consiguientes averías graves del motor.
