BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE

Check engine oil level (Q)

The engine on your snow thrower has been shipped, from the factory, already filled with oil.

1.Check engine oil with snow thrower on level ground.

2.Remove oil fill cap/dipstick and wipe clean, reinsert the dipstick and screw tight, wait for a few seconds, remove and read oil level. If necessary, add oil until “FULL” mark on dipstick is reached. Do not overfill.

To change engine oil, see “TO CHANGE ENGINE OIL” in the Maintenance section of this manual.

Add gasoline (R)

Fill fuel tank to bottom of tank filler neck. Do not overfill. Use fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. Do not mix oil with gasoline. Purchase fuel in quantities that can be used within 30 days to assure fuel freshness.

WARNING: Wipe off any spilled oil or fuel. Do not store, spill or use gasoline near an open flame.

Überprüfen des ölstandes (Q)

Der Motor Ihrer Schneefräse wurde bereits ab Fabrik mit Öl gefüllt geliefert.

1.Überprüfen Sie den Ölstand mit der Schneefräse auf ebenerdigem Untergrund.

2.Nehmen Sie die Ölverschlusskappe mit Messstab ab und wischen Sie den Messstab sauber. Stecken Sie den Messstab wieder in den Öltank und schrauben sie die Verschlusskappe fest zu. Warten Sie ein paar Sekunden, nehmen Sie die Kappe erneut ab, und lesen Sie den Ölstand ab. Wenn nötig, füllen Sie Öl nach, bis Markierung “FULL” am Messstab er- reicht ist. Nicht zu viel Öl einfüllen.

Benzin nachtanken (R)

Füllen Sie den Benzintank bis zum unteren Rand des Betankungsstutzens. Nicht zu viel Benzin einfüllen. Verwenden Sie frisches, sauberes, unverbleites Normalbenzin mit einer Mindestoktanzahl von 87. Benzin nie mit Öl vermischen. Um die Frische des Kraftstoffes zu gewährleisten, kaufen Sie nur soviel, wie innerhalb von 30 Tagen aufgebraucht werden kann.

WARNUNG: Verschüttetes Öl oder Benzin entfernen. Benzin nie in Nähe von offenem Feuer lagern, verschütten oder verwenden.

Vérifiez le niveau d’huile du moteur (Q)

Le moteur de votre souffleuse a été expédié, de l’usine, déjà rempli d’huile.

1.Vérifiez l’huile du moteur en plaçant la souffleuse au niveau du sol.

2.Enlevez le bouchon/jauge d’huile du graisseur et essuyez-le, réinsérez la jauge d’huile et vissez fortement, attendez quelques secondes, enlevez et lisez le niveau d’huile. Si nécessaire, ajoutez de l’huile jusqu’à ce que la marque “PLEIN” sur la jauge d’huile soit atteinte. Ne faites pas un remplissage excessif.

Pour changer l’huile de moteur, voir “CHANGER L’HUILE DE MOTEUR” dans la section Entretien de ce manuel.

Ajoutez de l’essence (R)

Remplissez le réservoir à essence jusqu’au bas du col de remplissage du réservoir. Ne faites pas un remplissage excessif. Utilisez de l’essence naturelle fraîche, propre, régulière sans plomb avec un minimum de 87 octanes. Ne mélangez pas d’huile avec l’essence. Achetez le carburant en quantités pouvant être utilisées dans les trente jours suivant l’achat pour s’assurer de sa fraîcheur.

ATTENTION: Essuyez soigneusement toute dispersion d’huile ou de carburant. Ne rangez, dispersez ni n’utilisez d’essence près d’une flamme nue.
