The 4610 SureMark Fiscal Printer Models Kxx

The model Kxx printers are modified versions of the IBM 4610 SureMark Printer. The bottom part of the top cover has been modified to accept two screws that lock down the cover. These screws are hidden beneath the fiscal interface assembly. The fiscal interface assembly must be removed to gain access to the screws to remove the top cover. This change distinguishes the 4610 Fiscal Printer from the 4610 TIx versions of the printer.

Note: The 4610 - Kxx Fiscal Printers have no physical journal station. Electronic journaling in the printer eliminates the need to store paper journal tapes.

The fiscal interface assembly consists of four fiscal logic cards that are contained in the fiscal housing, which is mounted under the printer. The assembly is secured with a fiscal screw and a tamper-evident seal. The fiscal logic is contained on several cards which are:

The fiscal processor card performs the functions of:

±Accumulating transaction totals

±Returning status and return codes to the POS terminal
