Parsing the Command Line
The FRUSDR Load Utility allows only one command line function at a time. A command line function may consist of two parameters; for example, cfg filename.cfg. Any invalid parameters result in displaying an error message and exiting the program. You can use either a slash (/) or a minus sign
Displaying Usage Information
When the utility is run with the /? or /h command line flags, the following message is displayed:
FRU & SDR Load Utility Version 3.0
Usage: frusdr | Is the name of the utility. |
/? Or /h | Displays usage information. |
/d {dmi,fru,sdr} | Only displays requested area. |
/cfg filename.cfg | Uses custom CFG file. |
/p | Pause between blocks of data. |
Displaying a Given Area
When the utility is run with the /d DMI, /d FRU, or /d SDR command line flag, the indicated area is displayed. Each area represents a sensor; one sensor for each instrumented device in the server. If the given display function fails because of an inability to parse the data present or a hardware failure, the utility displays an error message and exits.
