Diskette Drive Activity Light Does Not Light

Check the following:

qAre the diskette drive power and signal cables properly installed?

qAre all relevant switches and jumpers on the diskette drive set correctly?

qIs the diskette drive properly configured?

qIs the diskette drive activity light always on? If so, the signal cable may be plugged in incorrectly.

If you are using the onboard diskette controller, use the SSU to make sure that “Onboard Floppy” is set to “Enabled.” If you are using an add-in diskette controller, make sure that “Onboard Floppy” is set to “Disabled.” To run the SSU, see Chapter 3.

If the problem persists, there may be a problem with the diskette drive, server board, or drive signal cable. Contact your service representative or authorized dealer for help.
