Timer recording using the VIDEO Plus+® system
You can programme the timer using the PlusCode
numbers that are printed in your local TV guide
magazine.
1In stop mode, press

[the VIDEO Plus+ button].

• If the Timer Programming list is full, the Timer
Programming mode is activated instead of the
VIDEO Plus+ programming mode.
•Press [the VIDEO Plus+ button] again in the
VIDEO Plus+ programming mode to switch to
the Timer Programming mode.
2Set the PlusCode number of the

programme you want to record using

[the Number buttons], then press

[ENTER].
3Select the desired recording pattern

using [Cursor U / D], then press

[ENTER].
Once: To record a TV programme once, as you
set.
Daily: To record a TV programme at the same
time on the same channel everyday.
M-F: To record a TV programme at the same time
on the same channel from Monday through
Friday.
Weekly: To record a TV programme at the same
time on the same channel every week.
4Select a recording channel using

[Cursor U / D], then press

[Cursor P].

• If your local channel information is programmed
in the unit’s memory, your local channel number
appears automatically.
• If your local channel information is not
programmed in the unit’s memory, “P– –” may
appear.
• If you select the channel number using
[Cursor U / D], it is stored in the unit’s
memory.
5Select a recording speed using

[Cursor U / D], then press

[Cursor P].

6Press [SET UP] or

[the VIDEO Plus+ button] to exit.

7Press [STANDBY/ON y/I].
The icon will appear on the front panel display
and the unit enters to the timer-standby mode.
Note
• If you have not set the clock, the clock setting
window will appear after step 1. Continue from step
5 in “Clock Setting” before programming the timer.
(See page 19.)
• If the PlusCode number is not available, “Code
Error” is displayed and the number will clear when
you press [ENTER] in step 2.
• If the PlusCode number previously set overlaps with
the one you entered and the channel is different,
“Overlap” is displayed but the timer programming
will be cleared when you press [ENTER] in step 3.
• If you enter the same PlusCode number and the
recording pattern which you have already entered,
the previously set programme will be overwritten.
• If you enter the same PlusCode number but a
different recording pattern, it will be saved as a new
programme and added to the timer programming
list.
“Code Error” is displayed if:
• A past time is entered for start and end times.
• The PlusCode number cannot be decoded.
“Overlap” is displayed if:
• There is an overlap with a timer recording
setting in different channels.
