1OPEN/CLOSE/EJECT O button* (DVD/ VCR)

•Press to open or close the disc tray.

•Press to remove the tape from the unit.

2ON SCREEN button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to display the On-Screen display.

3VCR button

•Press to activate the remote control in VCR mode. (See page 12.)

•Press to select the VCR output mode.

4Number buttons (DVD/VCR)

•Press to select channel numbers.

•Press to select a title / chapter / track on the display.

•Press to enter values for settings in the setting menu.

•Press to enter the number in the Index or Time search in VCR mode.

•Press to enter the characters in edit function.

5CLEAR button (DVD/VCR)

DVD mode

•Press to clear the password once entered.

•Press to cancel the programming for a disc.

•Press to clear the selecting marker number in the marker setup mode.

•Press to clear the programme once entered in the timer recording setting mode.

VCR mode

• Press to reset the tape counter.

6PROG/SHOWVIEW button (DVD/VCR)

•In stop mode, press to set timer recording using the SHOWVIEW system.

•Press to display the timer programme setting menu while the SHOWVIEW programming input display appears.

7TOP MENU button (DVD)

•Press to display the top menu.

8ENTER button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to confirm or select menu items.

9Cursor U / D / L / P buttons (DVD/VCR)

•Press to select items or settings.

10 (CM SKIP) button (DVD)

•During playback, press to skip 30 seconds. (See page 42.)

11DVD REC I button

•Press once to start a recording.

•Press repeatedly to start a one-touch timer recording.

•Press to activate the remote control in DVD mode. (See page 12.)

12DUBBING button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to start VCR to DVD (DVD to VCR) duplication which you set in the setting menu.

13VCR REC I button

•Press once to start a recording.

•Press repeatedly to start a one-touch timer recording.

•Press to activate the remote control in VCR mode. (See page 12.)

14REC SPEED button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to switch the recording speed.

15REC MONITOR button (DVD)

•Press to check the video and audio quality before attempting to record and during recording.

16STANDBY/ON /I button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to turn on or off the unit.

*“” shows electrical power standby and “I” shows ON.

17SET UP button (DVD/VCR)

•Press to display the setting menu in stop mode.

18DVD button

•Press to activate the remote control in DVD mode. (See page 12.)

•Press to select the DVD output mode.
