Playback with VCR

Navigation
The VCR Navigation enables you to search and select the desired
programmes recorded on the VHS deck very easily.
When you record a programme with the VHS deck for more than
8 minutes in SP mode for more than 15 minutes in LP mode)
with NAVIGATION set to ON (pg. 81), its information
are registered for the VCR Navigation automatically.
When the first programme is recorded on a cassette, the VCR
Navigation gives the register number to the cassette. The VCR
Navigation memorizes the cassette by the number. You can
confirm the register number of the cassette when the cassette is
loaded or ejected.
The VCR Navigation can register up to 2000 programmes or up
to 680 cassettes.
The following screen appears as the VCR Navigation
screen when you select a programme. (pg. 37)
APlayback screen
(Indicates currently received TV programme.)
BGuidance for operations
CScroll bar
(Appears when there are over nine registered
programmes (or play lists). The scroll bar only
indicates that there are more programmes (or play
lists) hidden off the current screen display. To show
hidden programmes (or play lists), press r t
repeatedly.)
DInserted cassette information
(Loaded cassette number, title, total recorded time and
remaining recording time based on the currently
selected speed.)
ESelected programme information
(Recorded date, time, channel position number,
recording speed, title)
FIndex
(Thumbnail still of each programme)
GIndex
:Indicates no index is registered.
: Indicates programme in standby for timer recording.
: Indicates no programme is registered.
The Icons and their meanings

Scan for Beginning of Programme

The VCR Navigation can take effect for the programme
which has been recorded, and whose information has
been registered with this recorder. Once the VHS (S-VHS)
cassettes have been used for recording with this recorder,
they have the register number given by this recorder.
This programme has a little gap at the
beginning.
This programme has never been played back.
This programme has stereo sounds.
This programme has bilingual sounds.
This programme was timer recorded.
Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
Slide TV/CABLE/SAT switch to the right.
If the recorder is turned on with HDD deck selected,
there may be about 30 seconds delay in starting to
show pictures on the screen.
