TIMER RECORDING

SHOWVIEW® Timer

Programming

You can programme this recorder to timer-record as many as 16
programmes.
With the SHOWVIEW system, timer programming is greatly
simplified because each TV programme has a corresponding
code number which your recorder is able to recognize.
ATurn on the recorder.
Press 1.
BLoad a cassette.
Insert a VHS (or S-VHS) cassette with the record safety
tab intact.
CAccess the SHOWVIEW screen.
APress PROG.
BPress w e to move the arrow to “SHOWVIEW”, then
press OK.
●When “PROGRAMME FULL DELETE UNWANTED TIMER
PROGRAMME” appears on the TV screen, you need to cancel
some of the currently set programmes. (墌pg. 50)
DEnter the SHOWVIEW number.
Press the number keys to enter the SHOWVIEW number of
a programme you wish to record.
OR
APress w r e t to move the arrow to the desired
number key, then press OK.
BRepeat step A to enter all needed numbers.
●If you make a mistake and needed to delete the last entered
number, press w r e t to move the arrow to “DELETE”, then
press OK.
●To delete all entered numbers at the same time, press w r e
t to move the arrow to “DELETE ALL”, then press OK.
ESelect the recording deck, then confirm the

SHOWVIEW number.

APress w r e t to move the arrow to “RECORD TO”,
then press OK.
BPress r t to select “HDD” or “VHS”, then press OK.
CPress t to select “CONFIRM”, then press OK.
●If the number you entered is invalid, “SHOWVIEW NO.
ERROR CONFIRM SHOWVIEW NO. THEN RETRY” appears
on the TV screen. Input a valid SHOWVIEW number.
●If “SET GUIDE PROG THEN RETRY” appears on the TV
screen, set Guide Program Numbers (墌pg. 85) manually.
FCheck the programme data.
GSet the recording speed.
APress r t to move the arrow to “REC MODE”, then
press OK.
BPress r t to select the desire mode, then press OK.
Before performing the SHOWVIEW Timer
Programming:
●Make sure that the recorder’s built-in clock is set properly.
●Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
●Slide TV/CABLE/SAT switch to the right.

The SHOWVIEW number you
entered and the matching
timer-recording information
are displayed on the TV
screen. Check they are
correct.
●To cancel this setting, press
PROG.
IMPORTANT
Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is
displayed; if not, see “SHOWVIEW® System Setup” on page 85
and set the Guide Program number correctly.
