You'll use this basic stitch often- for garment construction or anywhere else you would use a straight stitch for seaming --

pain, pressed-open or double-stitched, tf you want a good\ looking top stitch on knits, use straight stretch ... particularly for

strength when making sportswear. And when you do curved seams on children's shorts or slacks, for example, the straight stretch stitch really adds life!
