The zigzag stitch isone ofthe most common and versatile
stitches. It can bea utility stitch for button sewing,
buttonhole making, hemming, overcasting, mending and
darning.
Itcan also be used to decorate with trims, appliques and
cut work oras adecorative stitch.

Needle thread tension: 1 to 4
Presser foot: Satin stitch foot

The satin stitch is often used to decorate and to overcast
the raw edge on blankets, linens, tablecloths, napkins, etc.
Itis alsoattractive in applique.
Once your machine is set up to stitch, test stitch on the
fabric being used for best results. A tight satin stitch may
pucker some lightweight fabrics.
