Esta puntada de costura es para coser costuras de sobrehilado. Esta pontada es usada cuando se cosen trajes de baSo,

pantalones de esquiar y otras prendas que requieren de material el_stico.

Para empezar a coser

Coloque el borde de la tela a la "izquierda" de la aguja como es mostrado en la ilustraci6n. Cosa de tal forma que la aguja traspase o penetre la tela muy cerca del borde exterior.

Tambi6n puede colocar la tela dejando unos 1.6 cm (5/8") entre la costura y el borde, cortando despu6s la tela sobrante.

Los bordes o desgastados pueden ser rematados con esta puntada para evitar futuros deshilachamientos.

NOTA:

Use una aguja azul el_stica No.11, la cual previene efectivamente pontadas saltadas.

Esta es una puntada decorativa delicada, empleada en prendas de niSos o blusas de seSoras. Elija una tela ligera y suave como el batista, guinga o chalis. Corte la tela tres veces m_s ancha de ]a anchura necesaria para el proyecto. Ajuste la Iongitud de puntada a "4" y cosa lineas paralelas de puntada recta, con una separaci6n entre elias de 1.0 cm (3/8") en la zona que desea fruncir.

Anude los hilos a Io largo del borde. Tire del hflo de la canilla por el extremo no anudado para distribuir uniformemente los frunces, y asegure los hflos. Cosa con las pontadas decorativas que desee entre las lineas fruncidas. Quite los hilos de puntada recta que mantenian el fruncido.

NOTA:

Afloje la tensi6n del hilo de la aguja para facilitar el fruncido.

Ce point est utilis6 pour coudre et surfiler en meme temps. II est tres pratique pour la r6alisation de maillots de bain, de pantalons de ski et les autres vetements qui doivent etre elastiques.

Commencer une couture

Placez le bord brut du tissu _ "gauche", de I'aiguille comme illustr& Cousez de maniere _ ce que I'aiguille perce le tissu tout pres du bord ext6rieur. Ou encore placez le tissu en pr6voyant une ressource de 1.6 cm (5/8"), puis recoupez la ressource. Les bords bruts ou effiloches des vieux vetements peuvent etre surfiles de cette maniere pour arreter rusure.

REMARQUE:

Utilisez une aiguille n°l 1 _ bout bleu, ce qui evite efficacement les points manqu6s.

Les smocks sont une decoration delicate utilis6e sur les vetements d'enfant ou les corsages de femme.

Choisissez un tissu souple et leger comme la batiste, le vichy ou le challis. Coupez le tissu trois fois plus grand que la largeur finie. R6glez la Iongueur du point sur "4" et piquez des rang6es de fronces s6par6es par 1.0 cm (3/8") en travers de la piece destinee aux smocks. Nouez les ills au bord du tissu. Tirez sur les ills de canette pour grouper les fronces r6gulierement et

attachez les ills. Piquez le motif de votre choix entre les rangs de fronces. Enlevez les ills de fronces.
