Notes for using the LD, DVD or 6ch INPUT source

When LD, DVD or 6ch INPUT is selected as the input source, the operation is subjected to the following restrictions.

Restrictions with LD and DVD:1.Both audio and video can be recorded if the source uses analog audio.2.Audio recording is not available if the source uses digital audio.

However, audio recording is possible if the analog input from the source is available (when the analog output jacks of the DVD are connected to the FRONT audio input jacks of the AV CONTROL CENTER and the DVD outputs analog audio signal).

3.The TAPE 2 (MONITOR) function is not available with the digital input.Restrictions with 6ch INPUT:1.The played audio cannot be recorded.

2.The monitor function cannot be activated by pressing the TAPE 2 (MONITOR) key.

3.Surround play, its adjustment, STEREO mode play, tone adjustment and Source Direct play are not available.

ÖFor the recording using a cassette deck or MD recorder, read the instruction manual of the cassette deck or MD recorder.

ÖRecording sound from a MD recorder onto TAPE 1 is not possible because the input selection is overlapped.

ÖRemember that varying the input level during recording causes the recording level to be varied.

ÖThe EON overriding does not occur during recording.
Regarding TAPE 2 (MONITOR)

A cassette deck or graphic equalizer can be connected to this unit’s TAPE 2 (MONITOR) terminals. If you connect a graphic equalizer, turn the TAPE 2 (MONITOR) key ON. If you connect a 3-head cassette deck, you can monitor the source sound, or the sound being recorded, while recording. Pressing the TAPE 2 (MONITOR) key lets you compare the recorded sound and the source sound. Refer to the operating manual for the component you connected for further details.
