Formatting Your Picture Card

If you own Picture Cards that have been used in other digital cameras, the cards may not be properly formatted for use in your DC3200 Digital Camera (or the data on the cards may have become corrupted). When these issues arise, your camera indicates that the Picture Card needs to be formatted.

Formatting a Picture Card erases all of the information on the card, including any delete-protected pictures. Be sure to copy important data to your computer or other recording medium before formatting the card.

You can also format the internal memory so that all pictures in the internal memory are erased, freeing up space for new pictures.
