Getting Better Results from Your Printer
You may notice that the colo rs on your computer scree n do not always match
those in your documents or prints. This is because moni tors and printers use
different color systems.
You may be able to achieve mo re predictable results in y our printed
documents by:
Improving the quality of your paper. Copier paper may not o ffer the
same results as coated p aper or paper made especia lly for inkjet
printers.
Adjusting your printer so ftware settings.
Using fresh ink cartridges. Do not use ink cartridges beyond their life
expectancy.
Remember these few tips for printing your pictures:
Color printing takes more time than black and white. More complex
pictures increase the p rinting and drying time.
Color printing is more memory intens ive than black and white. If your
computer gives you an insuffic ient memory message, you may need to
close some applications, change some settings, or add additional
memory.
Color prints may not photocopy as clearly as black and white. If you
plan to photocopy document s, you should consider printi ng the
document in grayscale. This setting is usually changed f rom the Print
dialog box.
Resizing the picture to a smaller size or printing t he picture on glossy
paper may increase the qual ity of the print.
To improve the quality of your pr ints, you may want to print y our
