Setting Icon Options that appear in Liveview
White Balance
Choose your lighting
condition.
This setting is kept across
PASM and independently in C1,
C2, and C3 until you change it.
Auto (default)—automatically corrects white
balance. Ideal for general picture-taking.
Daylight —pictures in natural lighting.
Cloudy —under overcast, shady or twilight
skies.
Open shade — pictures in the sha de in natural
lighting.
Sunset — preserves the deep hues seen in
sunsets.
Tungsten —corrects the orange cast of
household light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under
tungsten or halogen lighting without f lash.
Fluorescent —corrects the green cast of
fluorescent lighting. Ideal for indoor pi ctures under
fluorescent lighting without flash.
Click WB — captures a representa tive white
surface for a more precise setting.
Custom —saves a white balance
setting after a registration function in the Cu stom
White Balance setting (see page50).
Unavailable in Video mode.
Custom White Balance Compensation—provides for custom color
adjustment. When compensation is applied to white
balance, a + (plus) sign is placed next to the
underlying white balance icons.
Registration—saves white balance settings.
