Picture quality problems
If... Try one or more of the following
Picture is too dark
or underexposed
Reposition camera for more available light.
Use Fill flash (page36) or change your position so light is not behi nd
the subject.
Move so that the distance between you and the subjec t is within the
effective flash range (page11).
To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press
the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Fla sh Compensations
(page 37).
Use P mode (page 37) and Selectable Zone (see AF Zone on
page 51).
Picture is too light
or overexposed
Reposition camera to reduce the amount of available light.
Turn flash off (page11).
Move so that the distance between you and the subjec t is within the
effective flash range (page11).
To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press
the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Fla sh Compensations
(page 37).
