Picture quality problems
If... Try one or more of the following
Picture is too dark
or underexposed
■Reposition camera for more available light.
■Use Fill flash (page36) or change your position so light is not behi nd
the subject.
■Move so that the distance between you and the subjec t is within the
effective flash range (page11).
■To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press
the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
■Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Fla sh Compensations
(page 37).
■Use P mode (page 37) and Selectable Zone (see AF Zone on
page 51).
Picture is too light
or overexposed
■Reposition camera to reduce the amount of available light.
■Turn flash off (page11).
■Move so that the distance between you and the subjec t is within the
effective flash range (page11).
■To automatically set exposure and focus, press the Shutter button
halfway and hold. When the AE/AF indicator turns green, press
the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
■Use P mode to adjust the Exposure and Fla sh Compensations
(page 37).
