Picture orientation is not
accurate
■Set the Orientation Sensor to ON (page 47 ).
Flash does not fire ■Check if external flash is designated in Setup (page48).
■Check the flash setting and change as needed (page36).
Storage location is almost
or entirely full
■Transfer pictures to the computer (page 19).
■Delete pictures from the card or insert a n ew one (page 17).
■Change image storage location to internal mem ory
(page 46).
You cannot take a picture ■Turn the camera off, then on again.
■Depress shutter button all the way (page 5).
■Insert a charged battery (page2).
■Memory full. Transfer pictures to the computer (page19),
delete pictures from the camera (page17) or card, change
image storage location, or insert a new card.
Error message appears on
EVF/LCD screen
■Follow action recommended on screen.
■Note error number, if given; then turn the camera off then
back on.
■Remove the battery and wipe the contacts with a clean, dry
cloth (page88 ), then reinstall it.
■Remove memory card from the camera.
■Wait for any blink ing lights to s top; then turn th e camera off
then back on.
■If all else fails, get customer support help ( see page 76).
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card.
■Card may be corrupted. Format card in camera (see
page 49). Data will be erased if formatted.
■Use another memory card.
