Setting up printers for Print Redirection

To print documents from a computer to a printer at the other end of a LapLink connection, you need to set up the destination printer on that computer. If you do not set it up while installing LapLink, you can set it up later, using the Print Redirection Options in LapLink. For best results, set up a printer identical to the one you will be printing to at the other end of the connection.

To set up a new printer, click the Setup button in the Print Redirection Options dialog box.

Choose the printer from the list.

If your printer arrived with a setup disk, click Have Disk.

Before you can use Print Redirection, you need to add a printer for Print Redirection to the computer you’ll be printing from (the location where your documents are kept).

For example, if you’re remote controlling your office com- puter and want to print a document on that computer to your printer at home, you need to set up your home printer on the office computer.
