Logging onto Windows NT, Windows 2000, XP or 2003 from the guest

You must always press CTRL+ALT+DELETE before you can log on to Windows.

To send CTRL+ALT+DELETE to the host, do one of these:

Press the key combination specified for this purpose on the host. By default: CTRL+SHIFT+D.

On the host’s Session menu, click Send CTRL+ALT+DELETE to the Host.

Click the Remote Control icon at the bottom of the host’s LapLink workplace, and then click Feed

CTRL+ALT+DELETE.

Configuring the host for rebooting

You must configure a host to allow any guest to restart it during a Remote Control session. You can also require that the host be restarted whenever a Remote Control connec- tion is interrupted.

To configure a host computer for rebooting:

On the Host tab of Remote Control Options (Options menu), check either or both of these boxes:

Allow Guest to Reboot on Command Check this box to allow guests to restart the host using the Reboot Host command on their computers.

Always Reboot When Guest

Disconnects Check this box to require that the host be restarted whenever a guest breaks a con- nection or the connection is broken accidentally.

Ensuring access to the host after a reboot

At the same time you are configuring a host for rebooting, you can configure it so that a guest can resume a LapLink connection after the host is rebooted. You can do this by setting up LapLink to run whenever Windows is started.

To configure a host so that it automatically runs LapLink each time Windows is started:

On the Advanced tab of Program Options (Options menu), check this box: Always Start LapLink before Windows Logon Prompt.

Logging on to Windows NT When a Windows NT, Win- dows 2000, XP or 2003 host requires the user to press CTRL+ALT+DELETE at logon, a guest can press a special key combination specified on the host.

To specify the key combination for

CTRL+ALT+DELETE:
