	Use	To
	Use Multi‑Page TIFF	Choose between single-page TIFF files and multiple‑page TIFF files. For a multiple-
	On	page scan‑to‑e-mail job, either one TIFF file is created containing all the pages, or
	Off	multiple TIFF files are created with one file for each page of the job.
		Notes:
		• On is the factory default setting.
		• This menu item applies to all scan functions.
	Transmission Log	Specify whether or not the transmission log prints.
	Print log	Note: “Print log” is the factory default setting.
	Do not print log
	Print only for error
	Log Paper Source	Specify the paper source for printing e-mail logs.
	Tray [x]	Note: Tray 1 is the factory default setting.
	Multipurpose Feeder
	E‑mail Bit Depth	Enable the Text/Photo mode to produce smaller file sizes by using 1‑bit images when
	1 bit	Color is set to Off.
	8 bit	Note: “8 bit” is the factory default setting.
	Custom Job scanning	Copy a document that contains mixed paper sizes.

	Scan Preview	Show a preview on the display for scan jobs.

	Allow Save as Shortcut	Save e-mail addresses as shortcuts.
	On	Notes:
	Off
		• On is the factory default setting.
		• When set to Off, the “Save as Shortcut” button does not appear on the e-mail
		destination screen.
	Background Removal	Adjust the amount of background visible on a scanned image.
	‑4 to 4	Note: 0 is the factory default setting.
	Color Balance	Enable an equal balance of colors in the output.
	Cyan - Red
	Magenta - Green
	Yellow - Blue
