Helpful Hints

An “X” may appear at the top right corner of the TV screen when you try a feature. Either the feature is not available on the Disc, or the System cannot access the feature at this time. This does not indicate a problem with the System.

If a Disc is dirty or scratched, the picture may appear distorted or play may stop. Remove the Disc and turn off the System. Disconnect the power cord, then reconnect it. Clean the Disc, then turn on the System again and reinsert the Disc. You may need to repeat the System’s setup because of the temporary power loss.

When the DVD or CD light appears on the display panel, the Disc is loaded and ready to play.

When you press OPEN/CLOSE A or PLAY B (DVD) on the front of the System when the power is off, the System will turn on in DVD mode. Otherwise, the System will turn on in the mode in which it was turned off.

Do not use the DVD Player features when the System is in Tuner mode. You may hear noises through the speakers or the displays may be incorrect.
