50 Meridian Digital Telephone IP Adapter Installation and Administration Guide
Installing the Meridian Digital Telephone IP Adapter unit Standard 1.1
Complete the following procedure:
1Choose the location on the wall where you want to mount the Meridian
Digital Telephone External IP Adapter unit.
2Use the pre-drilled screw slots on the bottom of the Meridian Digital
Telephone External IP Adapter unit as a guide to measure and mark the
location on the wall for each mounting screw.
The measurements between the screw slots are as follows:
!from front to back panels: 2.54 cm (1 in.)
!from side to side: 15.8 cm (6.25 in.)
3Mount the screws.
Note: Do not screw the screws all the way in. The heads should be
screwed to about 5 mm (1/8 inch) from the wall.
4Mount the Meridian Digital Telephone External IP Adapter unit on the
screws, then gently pull it down so the screws slide into the narrow portio n
of the screw slots.
Note: Do not let go yet.
5Make sure that the Meridian Digital Telephone External IP Adapter unit is
securely mounted.
Connecting the Meridian Digital Telephone External IP Adapter unit
Obtain the following cables for your network. These cables are not supplied.
Note: Locate digital telephones no farther than 1230.7 meters (4000feet) from
the Meridian Digital Telephone External IP Adapter unit.

WARNING
Risk of equipment damage
Ensure that you fasten the Meridian Digital Telephone External IP
Adapter unit securely to the wall. Falls can damage the unit.
