Fitting / replacing the active charcoal filters

Always replace the filters immediately if the lamp for the active charcoal filter touch control comes on, or if they are no longer effective in absorbing kitchen odours.

They should, however, be replaced at least every 6 months.

If the cooker hood is connected for re- circulation, two active charcoal filters must be inserted in addition to the grease filters. These filters absorb nor- mal kitchen odours.

They are fitted in the canopy above the grease filters.

Active charcoal filters can be ob- tained from your dealer or the Miele Spare Parts Department.

Refer to the section "Technical data" for type and reference number.

Before fitting or replacing the active charcoal filters, the grease filters must first be taken out, (see previous section for instructions on how to do this).

The filters are supplied with fitting in- structions. Ensure these are carefully followed.

When fitting for the first time:

Set the operating hours counter to suit your requirements, (see "Oper- ation - Altering the filter operating hours counter").

After fitting new active charcoal fil- ters, press the active charcoal filter touch control for approx. 3 seconds to re-set the operating hours counter. The indicator lamp will go out.

If the active charcoal filters are re- placed before the operating hours counter has reached its maximum, the active charcoal filter touch con- trol should be pressed for approx. 6 seconds to reset the counter to zero.
