Problem solving guide
With the aid of the following guide, minor problems can be easily corrected without contacting Miele.
,Installation, maintenance and repairs may only be carried out by a suitably qualified and competent person in strict accordance with current national and local safety regulations.
Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
Ensure current is not supplied until after maintenance or repair work has been carried out.
Problem | Possible cause and remedy |
The oven does not | – Check if the system lock has been activated. |
heat up. | – Check whether the demo mode has been activated (see |
| "Settings - Showroom programme"). |
| – Check whether the mains fuse has tripped. If it has, |
| contact a qualified electrician or Miele. |
The heating works | Light in the roof: |
but not the oven | The halogen lamp needs replacing. |
lighting. | ^ Disconnect the appliance from the electricity supply. |
| Switch off and unplug at the socket, or remove the fuse, |
| or switch off at the isolator as appropriate. |
| ^ Unscrew the lamp cover and the seal. |
| ^ Change the halogen lamp. |
| When purchasing a new lamp, take the old one with you |
| to make sure you obtain the correct replacement (Osram |
| 66275, 230 V, 25 W, G9, heat resistant to 300 °C). |
| ^ Screw the lamp cover and the seal back on again. |
