Setting the Active Line
1. Be sure that your portable displays “Phone Ready”.
2.Press 
until you see “Line 2”.
3.Do one of the following:
•Press 
under “Line2” to activate Line 2 when Line 1 is the active line.
•Or, press 
under “Line1” to activate Line 1 when Line 2 is the active line.

You can receive calls on either line, regardless of the active line setting.
•If the line is the same as the currently active line, that icon simply flashes.
•If the call is on the line that is not currently active, the active line icon remains lit and the alternate line icon flashes.
Receiving Calls on Your Second Line
Mode
If you are on a call on one line:
1. Press 
under “Yes” to answer the call on the other line. Your previous call will be placed on hold.
2.Do one of the following:
•To end the call, press 
.
•Or, to place the current call on
hold, press 
under “Hold”.
When the call is terminated, the portable remains active in the last active line selected.
