See “GPS Privacy Options” on page 87 for instructions on setting the privacy options for your java applications. These options control the privacy of all Java applications on your phone.

GrantingorDenyingPermission

When a java application requests access to the location of your phone, a screen appears informing you.

Tograntordenyarequest:

1.Press Grant (left softkey) or Deny (right softkey) to grant or deny a request.

2.Select Always to always take this action for the application, Forthissession to keep this action without notification until the phone is powered off, or OnlyOnce to take this action for this instance only (you will be prompted again for subsequent requests).

SettingPrivacyforEachJavaApplication

1.Press / >GamesandApps.

2.Highlight an application or suite of applications.

Tip

If the application has requested access to the

 

location of your phone, this icon f appears when

 

you highlight the application.

 

 

3.Press / > Permissions.

4.Select privacy options for this application (you may set them for each of the menus available under Permissions):

Always — The application always has permission to access the phone’s location without notification.

Ask — When the application requests access to

the phone’s location, you are prompted to grant

 

or deny permission (see “Granting or Denying

 

Permission” on page 89).

Settings

 Never — Requests for location are denied without

 

notification.
