FEATURE

This feature allows the system to connect directly to ESTI Primary Rate

DESCRIPTION

ISDN Lines. The PRT(1)-U( ) ETU is required for this facility and allows one

 

connection. Each Primary Rate ISDN connection carries up to 30 channels,

 

providing the system with a total of 30 outside trunks. The use of digital

 

ISDN lines enables voice calls to be made which take advantage of superior

 

voice quality and call security. They may also be more economical than

 

analogue trunks.

 

The following services are available with an ISDN-PRI circuit.

 

CO Line Service

 

When configured for CO Line Service, the trunks emulate Loop Start trunks

 

for both outgoing and incoming calls.

 

DID Line Service

 

When configures for DID Line Service, the trunks emulate Loop Start trunks

 

for outgoing calls and DID trunks for incoming calls.

 

Calling Party Number (CPN) Service

 

Calling Party Number (CPN) Service can display the calling party telephone

 

number and/or name on the LCD of the Multiline Terminal for incoming calls.

 

This emulates Caller ID Indication of Analogue Trunks.

 

Calling Party Number (CPN) Presentation from Station

 

Calling Party Number (CPN) Presentation from Station allows the unique

 

10-digit station number (representing the DID number of the originating

 

station) to be sent out over the PRI circuit.

 

Supplementary Services

 

Malicious Call Trace and Network Supplementary Services via the stimulus

 

(Keypad) mode of operation is supported.
