Preparation 2 Charge the Battery

1Prepare the included Charging AC Adapter EH-69P.

Basic Steps for Shooting and Playback

If a plug adapter* is included with your camera, attach the plug adapter to the plug on the Charging AC Adapter. Push the plug adapter firmly until it is securely held in place. Once the two are connected, attempting to forcibly remove the plug adapter could damage the product.

* The shape of the plug adapter varies depending on the country or region in which the camera was purchased.

The Charging AC Adapter comes with the plug adapter attached in Argentina and Korea.

2Make sure the battery is installed in the camera, and then connect the camera to the Charging AC Adapter in the order indicated by the numbers in the illustration below.

Keep the camera turned off.

Be sure that plugs are properly oriented. Do not attempt to insert plugs at an angle, and do not use force when connecting or disconnecting the plugs.

Power-on lamp

Electrical outlet

USB cable (included)

The power-on lamp slowly flashes orange to indicate that the battery is charging.

About 4 hours are required to charge a fully exhausted battery.

When the battery is fully charged, the power-on lamp stops flashing and turns off.

See “Understanding the Power-on Lamp” (A15) for more information.

3Disconnect the Charging AC Adapter from the electrical outlet, and then disconnect the USB cable.

When the camera is connected to an electrical outlet with the Charging AC Adapter, the camera cannot be turned on.
