Step 2

After confirming that Imaging devices is listed in the Device Manager dialog, click the plus sign (+) to its left. If no Imag- ing devices listing appears or if Nikon Digital Camera E990 is listed under Other Devices, reinstall the device driver as instructed in “Reinstalling the Device Driver” ( 50).

If Imaging devices is not listed in the Device Manager and Nikon Digital Camera E990 is not listed under Other de- vices, disconnect the camera and restart the computer. Re- connect the camera after the computer has restarted.

Step 3

After confirming that NikonCOOLPIX990 is listed under Im- aging devices, double-click the listing to open the Properties window.

Step 4

Click the General tab in the Nikon COOLPIX990 Properties dialog and confirm that This device is working properly appears under Device status. Click OK.

Device registration is now complete. Click OK to close the System Properties dialog.
