When the built-in flash is lowered, the flash setting is fixed to off and W appears at the top of the monitor. In situations where a flash is needed, such as in dark locations or when the subject is backlit, be sure to raise the built-in flash (A33).

CFunctions Available in A(Auto) Mode

Focus mode (A40) and exposure compensation (A43) can be applied and pictures can be taken using the flash mode (A32) and self-timer (A35).

The image quality/image size can be changed by rotating the quick menu dial to aand pressing the quick menu button (A68).

DVibration Reduction

See Vibration reduction (A175) in the setup menu (A167) for more information.

Set Vibration reduction to Off when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting.
