Checking the Picture Brightness Distribution (A, B, C, DModes)

CHistogram and Shooting Information Displays of Tone Level Information

The histogram is a graph that shows the brightness distribution in the picture. The horizontal axis shows the number of pixels, and the vertical axis corresponds to pixel brightness.

The shooting information displayed includes the shooting mode used (A, B, Cor D), shutter speed, aperture value, image quality, image size, ISO sensitivity, white balance, exposure compensation, and COOLPIX picture control.

CDisplaying Tone Level Information in Playback Mode

The tone level information can also be displayed (A14) by pressing the xbutton in full-frame playback mode.
