The shooting date and time can be imprinted on the pictures with shooting, allowing the information to be printed even from printers that do not support date printing (A 96).

Off (default setting)

Date and time are not imprinted on pictures.

At settings other than Off, the icon for the current setting is displayed in the monitor (A 8).

BDate Imprint

Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted. Date cannot be imprinted on pictures after they are taken.

Dates imprinted at an Image mode setting (A 99) of O TV screen (640) may be difficult to read. Choose N PC screen (1024) or larger when using date imprint.

The date is recorded using the format selected in the setup menu’s Date item (A 18, 121).

The date is not imprinted in the following situations:

-Pictures taken in Sports, Museum, or Panorama assist scene mode

-Blink proof (A 51) is set to On in smart portrait mode

-Pictures taken with Continuous or BSS selected for the Continuous setting in the shooting menu (A 103)

-Movie mode

When printing from DPOF-compatible printers that support the printing of shooting date and photo

 

information, the date and information can be printed without imprinting this information on them

 

using options in the Print set menu (A 95).
