La D600 puede utilizarse con objetivos Nikon para cámaras con el formato 35 mm (135). Si el Recorte DX automático está activado (0 90) y se instala un objetivo de formato 35 mm, el ángulo de visión será el mismo que el de un fotograma de película de 35 mm (35,9 ×

24,0 mm); si se instala un objetivo DX, el ángulo de visión se ajustará automáticamente a 23,5 × 15,7 mm (formato DX).

Si se instala un objetivo de formato de 35 mm, el ángulo de visión puede reducirse en ×1,5 desactivando Recorte DX automático y seleccionado DX (24×16).
