You can adjust settings for connection to a TV.

Option

Description

Video mode

Set the camera’s analog video output signal to NTSC or PAL

according to the specification of your TV.

 

 

 

 

Select the HDMI output image resolution from Auto (default setting),

HDMI

480p, 720p, or 1080i. When Auto is selected, the option best suited

to the TV to which the camera is connected is automatically selected

 

 

from 480p, 720p, or 1080i.

 

 

 

Set whether or not the camera receives signals from an HDMI-CEC

 

compatible television when connected with an HDMI cable.

HDMI device control

Select On (default setting) to use the television’s remote control to

 

perform playback operations.

Set the method used to output 3D images to HDMI devices.

HDMI 3D output

Select On (default setting) to play back 3D images captured with this

 

camera in 3D.

 

 

C HDMI and HDMI-CEC

“HDMI” is the abbreviation for High-Definition Multimedia Interface and is one type of multimedia interface. “HDMI-CEC” is the abbreviation for HDMI-Consumer Electronics Control, which enables compatible devices to control each other and allows the user to operate multiple devices with one remote control.
