eNight portrait

The flash always fires. Raise the flash before shooting.

After you select eNight portrait, select YHand-heldor ZTripod on the next screen.

YHand-held(default setting):

-When ein the upper left of the monitor lights in green, press the shutter-release button all the way to capture a series of images that will be combined and saved as a single image.

-Once the shutter-release button is pressed all the way, hold the camera still until a still image is displayed. After taking a picture, do not turn the camera off before the monitor switches to the shooting screen.

-If the subject moves while the camera is shooting continuously, the image may be distorted, overlapped, or blurred.

ZTripod: Select this option when using a tripod or other means to stabilize the camera during shooting.

-Vibration reduction is not used even if Vibration reduction (A 96) in the setup menu is set to On.

-One image is captured at a slow shutter speed when the shutter-release button is pressed all the way.

When the camera detects a human face, it focuses on that face (A 68).

The skin softening feature makes the skin tones in people’s faces appear smoother (A 51).

If no faces are detected, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.

Digital zoom cannot be used.

fParty/indoor

The camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame.

As images are easily affected by camera shake, hold the camera steadily. Set Vibration reduction to Off in the setup menu (A 96) when shooting using a tripod to stabilize the camera.

ZBeach

The camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame.

zSnow

The camera focuses on the area in the center of the frame.
