Using Face Detection

In the following shooting modes, the camera uses face
detection to automatically focus on people’s faces.
If the camera detects more than one face, a double border is
displayed around the face that the camera focuses on, and

1If the camera detects both people and pets in the same shot, the camera can detect up to 12

faces.

2If the camera detects a person’s face and a pet’s face in the same shot, it focuses on the pet’s face.

•If no faces are detected when the shutter-release button is pressed halfway, the camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.

•You may hear the sound of the camera focusing.
