The maximum flash shooting distance can also be calculated by dividing the guide number by the selected aperture value.

Example: When f/2.8 is selected with ISO 100 film using the camera's built-in

Speedlight, the maximum flash shooting distance will be: 12/2.8 =approx. 4.2m or 39/2.8 = approx. 13. 8 ft .
