Installing PC Suite 6.6 from the Web

1Open a web browser, and go to www.nokia.com/ pcsuite > Download. The Download Assistant opens.

2Select Nokia 7710 from the list, and click Continue. If there are two versions available for your smartphone, you are asked to select your PC operating system.

3Select the language to download in the drop-down list, and click Download.

4Save the file on your PC. Click Continue, and follow the instructions on the last screen of the Download Assistant.

5Browse to the downloaded file

Nokia_PC_Suite_66_xx.exe (where xx stands for the language), and click it. The installation program starts.

6Follow the instructions on the screen. You must read and accept the licence agreement before continuing.If you have an older version of Nokia PC Suite installed on your PC, you are informed that it will be uninstalled. You may be asked to restart your computer during the installation.

7When the installation is complete, the Get Connected wizard opens automatically, and you can set up the connection types you want to use.

Selecting a connection type

When you have installed Nokia PC Suite, the Get Connected wizard opens automatically and guides you in configuring the connection type you want to use.

You can connect your smartphone and a PC with a USB cable or Bluetooth wireless technology.

Connection type details

DKU-2 USB cable is a fast and reliable data transfer method between a smartphone and a PC.

Bluetooth wireless technology connects your smartphone wirelessly to your PC within a short range. The smartphone and the PC must be within a 10 metre (about 30 feet) radius of each other.

If you did not receive a cable with your smartphone, you can buy one from your Nokia retailer.

Connection status

You can see the connection status at the bottom of the Nokia PC Suite main window.

If the smartphone gets disconnected, you can reconnect your smartphone to the PC in Get Connected. Open Get Connected from the bottom of the PC Suite main window.
