Bluetooth wireless technology equipment should come with one of the following Bluetooth stacks: Microsoft Windows XP Bluetooth (included in XP SP2), WIDCOMM BTW 1.4 and BTW 3.0, Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows XP/2000, VT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack for Windows XP/2000. To check what Bluetooth stack your PC has installed: in the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager, or in the Nokia PC Suite main window, click Help > About > System Information.

To install drivers for the DKU-2 cable, you need Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or later, or Windows XP with Service Pack 1 or later.

Installing Nokia PC Suite

Install Nokia PC Suite from the CD-ROM, or from the Nokia PC Suite Web-page at www.nokia.com/pcsuite.

To establish a connection between your smartphone and the PC, you also need drivers on your PC. Drivers for DKU-2 USB connection and Bluetooth connection are installed automatically when you install PC Suite or when you connect your smartphone to the PC with the Get Connected wizard.

Before installation

If you have an earlier version of Nokia PC Suite (5.x or 6.x) installed on your PC, the earlier version is automatically replaced during the installation. If you need to uninstall

the older version manually, the installation program will ask you to do so.

If you want to use a Bluetooth connection, you must install Bluetooth wireless technology software on your PC. For more information on Bluetooth software you can use with Nokia PC Suite, see “System requirements for Nokia PC Suite” on page 146.

If you are upgrading (for example, from PC Suite 6.41 or earlier to PC Suite 6.6), synchronise your smartphone with existing PC Suite before upgrading, to avoid duplicate calendar appointments. When you have installed PC Suite 6.6, rerun synchronisation.

Installing PC Suite 6.6 from a CD-ROM

1Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive of your PC, and click the installation option to start installing Nokia PC Suite 6.6.

2Select the language, and click OK. The installation program starts.

3Follow the instructions on the screen. You must read and accept the licence agreement before continuing. If you have an older version of Nokia PC Suite installed on your PC, you are informed that it will be uninstalled. You may be asked to restart your computer during the installation.

4When the installation is complete, the Get Connected wizard opens automatically, and you can select the connection types you want to use.
