Setting an index mark

If index marks are placed, you can quickly find a location you want to listen to in fast forward and fast rewind and when cuing a file.

This operation can be performed when the [INDEX] function has been assigned to a Fn button (F1 or F2) (P.76).

1Press the Fn (INDEX) button during file recording, recording pause, playing, or playback pause.

1Locate the index mark you want to clear.

2Press the 9or 0button to select the index mark to erase.

3While the index number is displayed (approximately 2 seconds), press the Fn (ERASE) button.

A number and recording position appears on the display and an index mark will be placed.

Even after an index mark is placed, recording or playback will continue so you can place index marks in other locations in a similar manner.

Clearing an index mark

This operation can be performed when the [Erase] function has been assigned to a Fn button (F1 or F2)

The index mark is erased.

Index numbers after the erased index number will automatically move up.

Notes

Up to 16 index marks can be set in a file. If you try to place more than 16 index marks, the [Index Full] message will appear for index marks.
