Rec Monitor A N
Select whether or not to output audio while recording from the earphone jack.
[On]:
Enables the recording monitor function. Sound will be output from the EAR jack.
[Off]:
Disables this function. Sound will not be output from the EAR jack.
Note
•When the external speaker is connected while recording, there is a risk that audio feedback will occur. It is recommended that you use earphones for the recording monitor, or turn [Rec Monitor] to [Off] while recording.
External microphones which are supported by plug in power can also be used. Whether or not to supply power to external microphones can be configured.

•When the [Input Jack] setting is set to [Line], the plug in power function is disabled.

Input Jack A N
Select whether to use the recorder’s MIC jack to connect an external microphone or as a LINE IN jack to connect an external device.
[Microphone]:
Set this when connecting an external microphone.
[Line]:
Set this when connecting an external device to use the jack as a LINE IN.

•When the [Input Jack] setting is set to [Line], the Low Cut Filter function is disabled (☞ P.66).
