Voice sync recording [V-Sync. Rec] A

Voice sync recording starts when a voice louder than the voice sync level (detection level) is detected. When the voice becomes low, recording will automatically stop. When setting voice

sync recording, if the input falls below the voice sync level (detection level) or the set detection time elapses, the recorder will stop the current operation, create a new file, and switch to standby mode.

1Select [V-Sync. Rec] from the menu on the [Rec Menu].

For details on how to enter the menu settings, see “Menu setting method” (P.63).

2Sets the detection time.

[Off]:

Disables this function.

[1 second] [2 seconds] [3 seconds]

[4 seconds] [5 seconds] [10 seconds]: Sets the detection time.

If the input is equal to or below the specified level (recording level) during the set detection time, the recorder will stop the current operation, create a new file, and switch to standby mode.

Adjusting the voice sync level for recording:

1Press the REC (s) button and prepare to record.

[Check rec level?] will flash on the sub LCD.

2Press the 9or 0button to adjust the recording level.

The level can be adjusted from [01] to [12]. The higher the number, the higher the level and the larger the indicator position on the level meter.

3Press the `OK button.

The screen switches to the voice sync level setting.

Each time the `OK button is pressed, the setting is switched between the recording level and voice sync level.

4Press the 9or 0button to adjust the voice sync level.

The voice sync level can be set to any of 15 different values.

The higher the value, the more sensitive the recorder will be to sounds. At the highest value, even the faintest sound will activate recording.

Press the `OK button to return to the recording level setting.
