3) Slide show
Press [OK] on the TV remote controller to start/pause the slide show.
•Images can be switched forward/backward by pressing 2/1 while the slide show is
paused.
•The screen will be returned to one screen display by pressing 4.
•Operation icons can be hidden when you press [RETURN]. When you p ress [ RET URN]
again, the screen will be returned to multi playback. Also, operation icons will be
displayed when you press [SUB MENU] while the operation icons are hidden.
•It is recommended to connect this unit to an HDMI terminal other than HDMI1 if there are 2 or
more HDMI input terminals on the TV.
•When the [VIERA Link] (P31) of this unit is set to [ON], operation using the button on this unit
will be limited.
•VIERA Link must be activated on the connected TV. (Read the operating instructions of the TV
for how to set etc.)
•If you are not using VIERALink, set [VIERA Link] (P31) to [OFF] .
∫Other linked operations
Turning the power off:
If you use the remote control for the TV to turn off the power, the power on this unit also
turns off. (When connecting the unit to a PC with a USB cable, the power will not turn off.)
Automatic input switching:
•If you connect with a HDMI mini cable and then turn on the power on this unit, the input c hannel
on the TV automatically switches to this unit’s screen. If the TV’s power is in standby status, it
will turn on automatically (if [Set] has been selected for the TV’s [Power on link] setting).
•Depending on the HDMI terminal on the TV, the input cha nnel may not switch automatically. In
this case, use the remote control for the TV to switch the inpu t ch an n el. (For details on how to
switch input, please read the operating instructions for the TV.)
•If VIERA Link does not work properly, refer to page 140.

•If you are unsure whether or not the TV you are using is compatible with VIERALink, read the
operating instructions for the devices.
•Available linked operations between this unit and a Panasonic TV is di ff erent depe nding on t he
types of Panasonic TVs even if they are compatible with VIERALink. Refer to the operating
instructions of the TV for the operations that support on the TV.
•Operation is not possible with a cable that is not based on the HDMI standard.
Do not use any other cables except a genuine Panasonic HDMI mini cable (RP-CDHM15,
RP-CDHM30; optional).

•VIERA Link will not work even if you connect the HDMI mini cable while the unit is connected to
the PC or the printer.
•[HDMI MODE] (P31) [1080i] is valid only for the following conditions:
Outputting to HDMI:
–When [PICTURE] is selected in the [MODE PLAY]
–When [PICTURE ONLY] is selected in the [SLIDESHOW]
–When [CATEGORY SELECTION]¢ is selected in the [SLIDESHOW]
When the [VIERA Link] is set to On :
–When the [ ] displayed on the TV screen is selected
–When [PICTURE ONLY] is selected for the [SLIDESHOW]
–When [CATEGORY SELECTION]¢ is selected for t he [SLIDE SHOW]
¢Other than [ ] (travel date)
–It will be output as [720p] except for the above conditions.
•The screen will be blacked out for a while when displaying in 1 screen, the [HDMIMODE] (P31)
of the camera is set to [AUTO] or [1080i], and [ ] displayed on th e TV s creen is s elect ed, bu t
this is not a malfunction.
•[ ] ([TRAVEL DATE]), [ ] ([AVCHD Lite]), or [ ] ([MOTION JPEG]) in the
[CATEGORY SELECTION] of th e [SLI DESHOW] cannot be selected when the [ ] displayed
on the TV screen is selected.
