<[UNDERWATER]

This is optimal to take pictures underwater 3 m (10 feet) or more if using the marine case (DMW-MCFT1: optional).

¢This camera has a waterproof/dustproof function equivalent to "IP58". It is possible to take pictures in 3.0 m (10 feet) depth for 60 minutes.

Fixing the focus underwater (AF Lock)

You can fix the focus before taking a picture with AF lock. This is useful if you want to take pictures of a fast moving subject etc.

1 Aim the AF area at the subject.

2Press 2 to fix the focus.

The AF lock icon A appears when the subject is focused.

Press 2 again to cancel AF lock.

When you slide the zoom lever, the AF lock is canceled. In this case, focus on the subject and fix the focus again.

You cannot set to AF lock when [AF MODE] is set to [ ].

White balance fine adjustment

You can adjust the hue to match the water depth and the weather.

1Press 3 [È] three times to display [WB ADJUST.].

2Press 2/1 to adjust the white balance.

[RED]:

Press when the hue is bluish.

[BLUE]:

Press when the hue is reddish.

Select [0] if you do not want to finely adjust the white balance.

3 Press [MENU/SET] to close the menu.

If you adjust the white balance, [ AWB ] appears on the screen in red or blue.

Note

To prevent water leakage, make sure that there are no foreign objects, such as sand, hair, dust, etc., in contact with and close the card/battery door and terminal cover all the way until it clicks. Also, read (Important) About the waterproof/dustproof and anti-shock performance of the camera(P10) before using the camera.

Dip the camera in fresh water in a shallow container for 10 minutes or less after using it, then wipe the water off with dry soft cloth. (P11)

The focus range is 5 cm (0.17 feet) (Wide)/30 cm (0.99 feet) (Tele) to ¶.

LED light is fixed to [ ].

[AF ASSIST LAMP] is fixed to [OFF].
