Messages
Mostcommon use of the Messages is covered in “Short Text
Messages”– see page 28
Receivedmessages will be stored in the Receive List. Flashing
“•”will indicate unread messages. Once the message is
selected,you can read, delete, edit and reply. With the word
“Sender:”displayed or a phone number in quotation marks (“ ”),
pressingDdials the phone number or pressing Astores the
phonenumber in the Phonebook.
Whena message has been sent or edited it will be stored in the
SendList.Review allows you to check usage of the message
area.

Parameters

TheParameters are necessary for receiving or sending
message.
AutoDelete will erase messages automatically. When
“ReceivedRead” is selected, a new message will overwrite the
oldestread message. When “Received Any” is selected, a new
messagewill overwrite the oldest message even though it may
nothave been read.
Lifetimeis the duration that your message is stored at the
MessageCentre. Delivery attempts will be repeated until the
messagehas been delivered or the Lifetime expires.
Whenyour message has been delivered a confirmation can be
receivedif Report is set to “Yes”.
TheMessage Centre may be able to convert the message to
theformat specified by Protocol.
