Initial settings
n Direct command code:
Programmable settings can be accessed by
pressing MN, #, and then the
corresponding code on the dial keypad
(page 23).
Example: Press MN#101.
n Symbol meaning:
Example: MbN: Off
Press MCN or MDN to select the words in
quotations.
Important:
RWhen you install the batteries for the first
time, the handset may prompt you to set
display language and date and time.
Perform step 2 in “Display language”,
page 14, and then press MOKN.
Continue from step 2 in “Date and
time”, page 14.

Display language

3 display languages are available. You can
select English, “ ”, or “ ”.

RThe order in which you enter the date
differs according to the selected display

RThe date and time may be incorrect after a
power failure. In this case, set the date and
time again.

Dialling mode

If you cannot make calls, change this setting
according to your telephone line service. The
default setting is Tone.
Tone: For tone dial service.
Pulse: For rotary/pulse dial service.

3MOKN a MeN
Smart Function Key (NRkey)
The Smart Function Key (NR key) is located
on the bottom of the handset and informs you
with its flashing to allow you to activate the
following features by simply pressing this key.
nWhen the NR indicator flashes rapidly,
you can:
Answer the call (outside call, intercom*1).

Stop the alarm sound. (page 29)
Stop paging. (page 42)

nWhen the NR indicator flashes slowly in
standby mode, you can:

View the caller list when there are

To activate these features, their Smart
